Awasis Law

The Awasis Law Department works to keep SCFN children and families safe through prevention programs, legal advocacy, and community-based support services.

The Awasis Legislation Project Lead provides strategic leadership and coordination for the advancement, development, and implementation planning of the Sucker Creek Sovereign Nation Awasis (Child) Law under SCFN’s Inherent and Treaty Rights. The role leads legislative development, participates in fiscal discussion, governance structuring, operational planning, capital needs development, service delivery design, and organizational readiness required to operationalize SCFN Awasis jurisdiction. The Project Lead ensures Creator’s Law, SCFN governance principles, cultural safety, and community direction are embedded within all legislative, regulatory, fiscal, and policy frameworks.
